Three arrested for armed robbery


On April 30, at approximately 10:59 p.m., the Henderson Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dabney Pit Stop at 555 Dabney Drive.

Officers arrived to learn that two black male suspects had robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a vehicle prior to the arrival of the police. One suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect fired several shots as the vehicle fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

A vehicle description of a burgundy Cadillac with silver lower trim was given out on the radio and police began a search. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped on Dabney Drive near Oxford Road. Police arrested three men in the vehicle and recovered two handguns, money, and drugs.

The following suspects were arrested:

Kaleb Hicks, 18, of 240 Crowder Lane, Henderson, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of schedule II and IV controlled substances, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was placed in Vance County Jail and given a $41,000 secured bond.

Antarrious Clark, 17, of 423 N. Clark Street, Henderson, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed in Vance County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.

Derrick Watson, 18, of 718 Farrar Avenue, Henderson, was charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon (one was from a previous robbery), possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. He was placed in Vance County Jail under a $110,000 secured bond.

All suspects have a May 15 court date.
