Maria Parham Medical Center is pleased to host Celebrate Wellness, a day to celebrate all aspects of community health, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m, on Saturday, May 6th.
On this day we celebrate our local non-profit organizations that help make our community a better place to live. We also celebrate our medical professionals.
Maria Parham Medical Center will offer some basic health screenings during the event. Blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar checks will be offered as well as “paper screenings” for stroke risk, depression risk and diabetes risk. Education will be offered from the representatives of each organization as well as from handouts and give-a-ways.
Throughout the day, Maria Parham will also be highlighted. There will be a dedication of the new Patient Tower at 1:00 pm. We will also offer limited tours of the new facility and the Center for Rehabilitation will host an Open House.
There will be healthy refreshments offered throughout the day, as well as a play area for the children.
