Embassy Wars: The saga continues

Embassy Wars: Episode XI – The Sith’s Revenge

It had been many moons since the election that ousted Darth Manager.

The new council had put in place a new manager, Viceroy Walrusmoss from the Crab Nebular. He was charged with bringing security to the empire that Darth Manager had miss- handled for so many eons.
A secret meeting was held in the Chavasse sector of the galaxy, far away from the senate building.

Princess Elissa: Viceroy, now that you have control of the empire’s operations, it is imperative that we move quickly to restructure our resources. You were chosen for this well before others with more qualifications were allowed to compete. You will not fail us.

Viceroy Walrusmoss: I have mixed feelings about the process used here. It might appear deceiving to some.

Queen Harper: You fool, do you think that if a fair competition was allowed that you would be manager? You have no education and a fair process would eliminate you from the start. You will serve us and the dark side.

Viceroy Walrusmoss: What do you mean? Do you know the ways of the dark side?

Queen Harper: How do you think I achieved the power that I have? You will learn this power and you will be rewarded well.

Viceroy Walrusmoss: I wish to learn this power and I pledge my allegiance to you.

Princess Elissa: Very well, from this day forward you will be known as Darth Walrus.

The meeting was adjourned and Darth Walrus departed to the Imperial fleet headquarters. Upon arrival he was met with opposition.

Darth Walrus: I need to see your inventory on all imperial supplies including all service records for the fleet.

Morganius of Ops: I will need time to acquire a detailed manifest.

Darth Walrus: Your attempts to stall me are failing? Where is the fuel consumption chart for the fleet?

Morganius: I will have to retrieve this information from Mann of Sagefield.

Darth Walrus began an inquisition immediately following the meeting and it was determined that fuel and supplies were unaccounted for.

Darth Walrus met with the sith lords and mentioned his findings and assumed that the storm troopers were behind this waste. He requested the State Battalion of Imperial services to assist in the investigation.

As the investigation unfolded, there were some that were expelled from the empire for their treason.

Darth Walrus met with members of FAIR and suggested that the empire take immediate steps to punish the stormtroopers for the missing fuel.

Darth Walrus: I have done some calculations and we stand to save an astronomical amount in fuel if we terminate the individual assigned ti-fighter program. The storm troopers are the only ones that have access to the fuel depots at night and this is when the fuel is missing. For this I wish to punish them by requiring them to provide their own shuttles to the battle zones.

Queen Harper: As chair of this committee, I wish to thank you for you swift actions on stopping this waste. You have done well and we will support you at the senate hearing. This savings will allow us to compensate you, let’s say, at a very nice rate.

News of this reached the Chief stormtrooper and he was furious to see that the figures used were inflated and not factual. He requested a full senate hearing and a vote from all council that sit on the senate.

Darth Walrus: Chief, I am not pleased with your lack of faith in my abilities to calculate. You have made me look like an uneducated fool that is unable to perform as expected.

Chief: Lord Walrus, make no mistake, my allegiance is with you and the empire, but you must see that this move will cause a severe depletion of storm troopers. Your calculations are inflated and this move will not improve the effectiveness of the empire. It was the senate that voted in the fighter program and it is only right that they vote it out.

Darth Walrus: It would be in your best interest to keep your stormtroopers from speaking at the senate. I will not tolerate treason.

The senate met and a vote was held. The senate voted to allow the stormtroopers to keep the fighters. There was a division brewing on the senate.

After the meeting Ranger Cardacian and Chancellor Clem had a heated debate over his loyalty to the sith.

Princess Elissa: Darth Walrus, this minor defeat was not expected. Obviously Chancellor Clem has ties with the chief stormtrooper. Do not let this cloud your thoughts. You may write your own contract and be compensated by the council at an inflated rate. Continue your crusade and eliminate all who stand in opposition.

Meanwhile back at the deathstar, there were plans to reveal the power of the fully operational death star. The Emperor was in a secret meeting with his allegiance and was displeased with the sith that sat on the council.

Emperor: Princess Elissa has become dangerous to my biddings and opposes my plans. She must be ousted from power.

Chancellor Clem: How might this occur my lord?

Emperor: You and those that stand with you must see that Elissa and Queen Harper are not allowed to continue their control over the senate. My death star will become operational despite their opposition. I am in control of this sector, not them.

Chancellor Clem: My lord you can count on me and I will assure you that Queen Emma will fight along with me. I will speak kindly of you at the opening of the death star.

The senate met and it was determined that the Emperor was powerful and dangerous to the senate.

Princess Elissa: Darth Walrus, have you any suggestions that could save our empire resourses and at the same time hinder the Emperor’s quest?

Darth Walrus: Yes master, I suggest that the senate stop all funding of the special projects manager position. This position is not relevant to the empire and only serves the Emperor.

Queen Harper: Excellent. This is exactly what we needed. A way to strike at the emperor and the death star and seem to all that we are concerned about savings.

Just then, an ancient sith known as Gupton busted into the chambers and demanded a closed session.

Gupton: As one of the sith that is representing part of this empire, I wish to express my displeasure in the stormtroopers. I will do whatever it takes to bring them down and submit to council control.

Elissa: What do you have planned to achieve this?

Gupton: I for one see no need for any increase in compensation for their services. They are overpaid as it is now. They are incompetent and are not able to control the sandpeople from invading my planet. I want the chief stormtrooper to be held accountable for this and I will prove his statistics are fabricated.

Queen Harper: Lord Gupton, as a sith you must control your feelings and anger and not allow your hatred for the chief to be publicly displayed. We will assure you that neither he nor his stormtroopers will be compensated and we will even hold back the promised increase to all the empire. We will blame him and his individual tie- fighter program for our inability to give those who need a raise what we promised.

Gupton: Here are my statistical analysis of their salaries and as you can see we are overpaying them by allowing them to keep the fighters.

Queen Emma: Lord Gupton, it is obvious that you have a personal vendetta with the chief and all his stormtroopers. Do not forget that he and his stormtroopers are my allies and for you to attack them I will consider as an attack on me. It is known that this senate is split on many issues and you siths will be exposed for the evil that you truly are. You have fooled many for so long but I will fight your power.

Chancellor Clem: Order, Order. This meeting is out of control. The press is outside the door and word will leak out that there is animosity between us. This will only hinder future election victories.

Darth Walrus: My lord, I had promised to give a three percent increase in this new budget.

Queen Harper: Silence you fool, who gave you permission to promise anything? You are only allowed to give what we approve. Your contract was very generous and you do not need to forget that.

Darth Walrus: Yes my lord, please forgive me.

The meeting was adjourned and all the siths headed back to their sectors. There was much displeasure with the outcome and a resolution was not in sight. The empire stood in disarray and it appeared that there was no hope. The future was clouded and the vast unknown was overwhelming to all that served the empire. Betrayal was the sense that many felt and gloom reigned many days after the budget was unveiled.
