From the Night Out Against Crime 2006 Flyer
The annual Night Out Against Crime will be held at L.B. Yancey Elementary School on Saturday, August 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be free hot dogs and t-shirts for registered participants.
Entertainment will be provided by WIZS radio. A moon walk will be made available to the delight of small children.
A police K-9 demonstration will be conducted.
There will be special appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog, Sparky the Fire Dog, and, of course, Smokey the Bear.
The event is being sponsored by the Henderson Police Department, Vance County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson-Vance Fire and Ambulance, Vance County Schools, and the Vance County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and Family Resource Center.
