Clean Up Henderson! Committee Chair Diane Barbario with city workers at Appreciation Breakfast

The Clean Up Henderson! Committee rewarded city workers and other participants in this year’s Clean Up Henderson! drive with an appreciation breakfast on the morning of Friday, October 27.

During the drive which took place the week of September 25, 74 and one-half tons of garbage went to the landfill over and above the amount which is normal for that time of year. Also, 165 tires were picked up and disposed of.

During the drive, 400 appliances were picked up and disposed of by a Warren County man.

Representative Jim Crawford was present for the meeting and participated by drawing the name of Willis Judkins who won a country ham as a door prize.

Henderson City Council members Lynn Harper and Elissa Yount were on-hand to take photographs of employees. The pictures were printed, framed, and distributed to attendees as a memento of the event.
