Rep. Bob Etheridge being sworn in by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi
Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi administered the oath of office to U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) today in the U.S. Capitol.
Etheridge is beginning his sixth term in Congress. Etheridge’s priorities in the 110th Congress include writing a new Farm Bill for North Carolina’s farmers, raising the minimum wage, protecting communities by implementing the 9/11 Commission’s recommendations, passing ethics legislation to clean up Congress and cutting the interest rates on student loans in half.
