The American Association of Blacks in Energy is a professional organization of primarily African-Americans from the energy industry.
Through its scholarship and student aid programs, AABE annually identifies eligible minority high school students to receive scholarships when they have plans to attend a college/university and major in an energy-related field such as science and math. AABE believes that increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in various energy-related fields will help America enhance its competitiveness in the world market.

– Be a graduating high school senior who intends to enroll next semester in an accredited college or university.

The Scholarship Committee of the North Carolina Chapter of AABE (Chapter) selects scholarship recipients each year. Recipients receive notification of their selection by mail.
