At approximately 11:48 p.m. on January 5, 2007, Henderson police were dispatched to 537 East Montgomery Street to a report of someone shot.
On arrival, officers found Quentin Rodwell, 16, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Rodwell was transported to Maria Parham Medical Center by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators from the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Forensics/Evidence Section responded to the scene and the investigation is continuing.
At approximately 4:45 p.m. today, Henderson Police Department investigators took into custody and obtained a juvenile petition for murder for a thirteen year old male for the homicide of Quentin Rodwell. The juvenile was turned over to North Carolina Juvenile Services officials for transport to a secured custody facility.
