If it bleeds, it leads, they say in news business, but nothing gives us greater pleasure than reporting on events like Read Across America held this past Friday at the H. Leslie Perry Memorial Library. We cannot help but notice that comment posts are more numerous and more energetic when the topic is negative, however. We suspect that if some Hendersonians could generate the energy for community activism that they seem to reserve for ire that our town would be a paradise in a matter of weeks.
