“Meet Me in the Street” this April 19


North Carolina band, The Embers, will play downtown Henderson at “Meet Me in the Street” on Thursday, April 19.

The free concert will take place on Breckenridge Street (beside the Wildflower Café) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event will be brought to Henderson by presenting sponsor Harris Incorporated of Henderson and the Budweiser True Music Concert Series.

The concert is coordinated by the Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to again partner with the Chamber to bring quality entertainment to Henderson for a fun, free community event that can bring area residents together,” said Paul Harris, president of Harris Incorporated of Henderson.

“The Embers have a massive fan following across the Carolinas and in the Henderson-Vance area as well,” he continued. “Their reputation for a great live show featuring Carolina beach music will be sure to please fans of all ages.”

The Embers are a North Carolina tradition with their special brand of rhythm and blues beach music. Since their inception in 1958, the group has been touring and turning out hit songs. Their latest album, “The Show Must Go On,” is due for release later this year.
