Three arrested on drug, firearm violations


On June 11, 2007, members of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Henderson Police Department arrested the following individuals:

Janet Harrison, 37, of 1908 South Cokesbury Road, Henderson;

Ronald McMillian, 47, of 1010 Standish Street, Henderson;

James Henry Peace, 36, of 1010 Standish Street, Henderson.

Officers entered the residence at 1010 Standish Street in an attempt to serve a felony warrant. While inside the residence, officers encountered the individuals listed above.

A .38 caliber handgun and cocaine were located inside the residence.

Harrison was arrested on outstanding warrants for felony larceny involving an incident at the Scottish Inn where $3,338 was taken from Mark Hobgood. Her bond is $10,000.

After further investigation, McMillian and Peace were charged.

All individuals were placed in the Vance County Jail pending a July 9 court appearance.

McMillian was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of cocaine. His bond was set at $41,200.

Peace was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of cocaine. His bond was set at $25,000.
