Search conducted in Epsom for missing woman

A search was conducted yesterday in the Epsom area for Lesile Joe Grissom, who has been missing since July 8, 2007.

Grisson, 19, 104 lbs., 5″4′, was last seen at approximately 1:00 or 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2007, in the Epsom area on Weldon Mill Road.

Grissom is a Caucasian female.

She was wearing blue jeans, white shoes, and a red Adidas jacket.

Agencies participating in the search were the Vance County Sheriff’s Office, the Vance County Rescue Squad, the North Carolina Underwater Recovery Team, the North Carolina Search and Rescue Team, the Epsom Volunteer Fire Department, and Vance County Emergency Management.

Search

Air support in the form of a helicopter was provided by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. The Henderson Police Department provided logistical support by supplying its Mobile Command Center to the approximately six hour effort.

Nothing was found during the search to indicate Grissom’s whereabouts.
