As of 4:40 p.m. today, the Vance County Board of Elections reported that Sara Coffey filed for the Ward 1 at-large Henderson City Council seat.
Coffey’s filing brings the total number of filings to two for the day. Henderson City Council member Elissa Yount reported to Home in Henderson earlier today that she would run to retain her Ward 3 at-large seat on the Council.
This will be Coffey’s third challenge of Bernard Alston for his spot on the Council.
