HPD apprehends three for armed robbery


On August 14, 2007, Claude Neal, an independent shoe salesman, was robbed while in the 200 block of Ransom Street.

Taken from Neal was twelve pairs of shoes, U.S. currency, and a cellular telephone.

On September 5, 2007, after an investigation of this incident by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, the individuals listed below were arrested and charged:

Henderson, NC
Charges: Robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Bond: $60,000

Jimmie Lee Davis, 18
1105 S. Chestnut Street
Henderson, NC
Charges: Robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery
Bond: $65,000

Robert Ross, 17
243 Burwell Avenue
Henderson, NC
Charges: Robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery
Bond: $80,000

The individuals are being held in the Vance County Jail pending a September 10 court appearance.
