I didn’t have the stamina to write about it last night, but yesterday’s meeting of the Vance County Board of Commissioners raised some serious questions as Vance residents shared their points of view regarding dog hunting last night.

Are dog hunters entitled to play at their chosen sport as promised by the phrase “life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness”, penned by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence? Or are property owners unduly infringed upon in their right to “life, liberty, and property” as written by John Locke, Jefferson’s philosophical forebear?
