
Breaking & Entering Case
On January 27, 2008, Jimmy Grissom reported that someone had broken into the White Memorial United Methodist Church at 529 Alexander Ave.
Suspects entered the church by breaking a window in the rear. Taken were three microphones, one digital hymnal, one dual cassette player, a digital key charger, and a digital disc player.
The estimated value of all equipment was $2000.
The Henderson Police Department has no suspects at this time.

Armed Robbery & Shooting
On January 16, 2008, around 10:10 p.m., the Vance County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery and shooting at the Henderson Mini Mart at 1174 Newton Dairy Road.
Deputies found the store clerk lying on the floor with a gun shot wound to the leg.
Two black males had entered the store with a shotgun and demanded money. The Ccerk grabbed at the shotgun and one of the suspects shot the clerk and took the money and ran out of the store.
Law enforcement has no other information at this time. Both subjects left on foot running from the scene.
