On Friday, April 4, 2008, at approximately 2:36 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 800 block of Water Street in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Officers arrived on the scene and found Donald Robinson, 56, of 913 Water Street, lying in the middle of the west-bound lane.
Robinson was transported to the Maria Parham Medical Center. He was later transported to Duke Medical Center where his is being treated for head trauma and two broken legs.
Witnesses at the scene said that Robinson was struck by a white Honda with a missing back window traveling at a high rate of speed.
