In a special meeting held Monday, April 21, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, the Henderson City Council voted to rescind Chapter 21C of city code, the so-called Certificate of Occupancy ordinance.
The move to revoke the ordinance passed by 4-1, with member Mike Inscoe abstaining due to a conflict of interest.
The sole dissenting vote was cast by member Garry Daeke.
Members Bernard Alston and Mary Emma Evans were not present when the vote was taken.
There was no discussion before or after the vote.
