Well, apparently it’s official. Teachers will receive an on-average 3% increase, and state employees will get 2.75% or $1,100, whichever is greater. Our heart goes out to the many people we know of who aren’t getting any kind of adjustment at all in these tough times. Going to the grocery store is becoming like going to a jewelry store: we can only afford certain items, and the list is shrinking.
