Present At Meeting
Diane Barberio, Angela Feingold, Linda Leyen, Pete O’Geary, Grace O’Geary, Chief Wilkerson, Raymond James,
Diane Barberio conducted and called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. Members, Staff and Guests were welcomed and an attendance sheet was passed around requesting a listing of any specific addresses of junked cars, overgrown lots, abandoned structures, graffiti, or houses that anyone suspects are being used for drug deals.
The invocation was given by Chief Wilkerson
Diane Barberio asked the committee to approve the Minutes
Chief Wilkerson was the first to move to approve the minutes and the motion was seconded by Mr. James
The Treasurer’s Report is $495.21
Biscuit donation balance is $40.00
Public Works Report:
Linda Leyen gave the report. Labor Day posed a problem getting all the routes completed, but it was all accomplished. Ms. Leyen reminded us that leaf pick up will begin on October 1st. Clean up Henderson week starts September 20th and a proclamation will be signed by the Mayor.
Code Compliance:
Corey Williams provided a report in our packets. He was not in attendance. It was reported that “our” Pam Glover has been promoted to the City Clerk and we wish her well in her new position.
Abandoned, Junk and Nuisance Car report: Angela Feingold gave her report. We will honor the top 3 officers for their efforts in the Junk Car process on September 15th.
Old Business:
Neighborhood Watch: West Hills has adopted Highway 158 down to Gun Club Road. West End had Quon Bridges speak at their last meeting

Graffiti: It was reported that swastikas have been painted on street signs in West Henderson. Also a stop sign on the corner of Old Epsom Road and Sagefield Drive was reported.
New Business:
Potential Speakers for CUH
Volunteers for sub-committee: East Lake Foundation is looking for sub-committee members. Ms. Somerville has volunteered for the committee.
Terri Hedrick asked (by phone) if we had any volunteers for her Beautifly presentation. Several people volunteered.
Rev. Reggie Ponder attended our meeting for the last time. He is moving to Elizabeth City. We wish him well and we will miss him.
