On November 28, 2008, at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to The Spot located a 231 Satterwhite Point Road in reference to a report of someone shot.
Upon arrival, officers found Stacey Lyons lying inside the business suffering from two gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to the Maria Parham Medical Center and was later transported to Duke Medical Center.
Members of the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene. After an investigation was conducted, detectives arrested Quincy Champion, 30, of 2818 Eric Street in Washington, D.C. Champion was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was confined to the Vance County jail under a $100,000 bond pending a December 15th court appearance.
