On November 30, 2008, at approximately 6:15 a.m., an attempted armed robbery occurred at the Dollar Tree located at 304 N. Cooper Drive.
One suspect approached an employee of the business while he was outside and pulled a gun and forced the employee into the business and demanded money. The employee struggled with the suspect and the employee was shot once in the leg. The suspect then fled from the store. The suspect was described as a black male, 5′ 8″, medium build, wearing a black shirt and black pants. The investigation is continuing by members the Criminal Investigations Division.
