A special presentation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Superior Courtroom of the Vance County Courthouse.
The presentation is entitled “Good Girl, Bad Choices” and features Kemba Smith, a well-known public advocate who will speak frankly to teenagers and their parents about the challenges facing young people, especially girls, today.
Smith will share real life stories appropriate for children twelve years and older about topics of interest to them including trying to fit in, peer pressure, relationships with parents, and getting second chances.
The session is being presented by Buringi’s House, Inc. and is free and open to the public. Groups and individuals may register prior to the presentation by email or by calling 252.438.5420. However, registration is not required.
