On May 21, 2009 at 4:09 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at Subway located at 1413 N. Garnett Street in Henderson.
Upon arrival, officers found the building had been entered.
While searching the area, officers spotted a suspect. When officers approached the individual, he ran. Officers pursued the suspect on foot and apprehended him near Beckford Drive.
After further investigation, officers arrested Tevin Stokes of 177 Cole Farm Road in Wise, NC. Stokes was charged with breaking and entering and resist, delay, and obstruct. He was placed in the Vance County Jail under a $2,000 bond pending a July 2, 2009 court appearance.
