On April 24, 2009, Josie Garcia reported that he was robbed while walking in the backyard of his residence.
The victim stated that individuals knocked him to the ground and struck him several times, causing a cut on his head.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
After an investigation into this incident by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Bobby Jackson of 311 Booth Street and Emanuel Hargrove of 256 Keene Street were arrested and charged.
Both suspects were charged with common law robbery, felony conspiracy to commit common law robbery, and assault inflicting serious injury. The suspects were placed in the Vance County Jail pending a June 1, 2009 court appearance.
