On June 2, 209, members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit were in the area of Mason Street where they heard several gunshots.
Detectives located the suspect who was firing the shots and he was placed under arrest. A nine millimeter handgun was seized from the suspect.
The individual arrested was identified as William Jason Roberson, 28, of 544 Sagefield Drive.
Roberson was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm. The firearm that was seized had been reported stolen in 1994.
After further investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Division, Roberson was also charged with a breaking, entering and larceny which occurred at 478 Ridgecrest Trail on May 19, 2009. Taken during this incident were three firearms. Roberson was placed under a $50,000 bond pending a June 15, 2009 court appearance.
