These are the 22 grant proposals received by the Golden LEAF Foundation for projects in Vance County.
Each grant proposal is at least four pages long, although some submitted supplementary materials. Those agencies or local governmental units whose proposals survive the selection process (which has yet to be decided) will be required to submit full grant applications to Golden LEAF.
Only 501(c)(3) charities as defined by the federal Internal Revenue Service and government entities may be funded by the Foundation.
The Golden LEAF Community Assistance Initiative is scheduled to meet again on September 21, 2009. No time or place was mentioned specifically; however, previous meetings have been held at 6:00 p.m. at the Vance campus of the Vance-Granville Community College.
