On August 23, 2009, at approximately 12:54 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the intersection of Highland Avenue and Rockspring Street in reference to someone shot.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Robert Newsome, 30, of 715 Highland Avenue.
EMS personnel arrived, and Newsome was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing into this incident by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
