Shooting
On June 13, 2009 at approximately 1:00 a.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the Henderson Convention Center on Wortham Court in reference to subjects fighting.
Upon arrival, officers started to clear the parking lot.
Officers then received a call that two subjects were at the Maria Parham Medical Center who had been shot during the altercation. When Officers arrived at the hospital, they found Jarrell Rakeem Lewis of Bullock Street and Christal Michelle Watson of Angel Lane, both located in Henderson, North Carolina had been shot while walking to their vehicle at the convention center.
The investigation is continuing into this incident by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. There are no suspects at this time. Breaking & Entering Case
On August 15, 2009, at about 2:00 p.m., Shirley Wilson of Warrenton Road reported that someone had broken into her house by prying open the basement door. Suspects took several items from the house. The estimated value of the property that was stolen is about $10,000.
