On September 11, 2009 members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division apprehended Christopher Ingram of 637 Marshall Street in Henderson, North Carolina. Ingram is the third suspect in the Thursday, September 10, 2009 armed bank robbery of Carter Bank & Trust.

Christopher Ingram was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and felonious larceny of a vehicle.
Yesterday at 12:08 p.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to Carter Bank & Trust located at 300 Dabney Drive Extension in reference to a report of an armed robbery.
Responding officers learned that two individuals entered the bank armed with handguns and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects left the bank in a black Honda.
While searching the area, members of the Criminal Investigations Division along with patrol officers located two individuals walking along Skenes Avenue. The officers approached the individuals. One suspect was detained and the other suspect ran into a wooded area. The other suspect was located after a search.
Officers also located a 1991 Honda abandoned in a ditch on Wilkins Lane. The vehicle was determined to be the vehicle used in the armed robbery. It had been stolen earlier from a location on Ross Mill Road.

Amils Drew, 22 of 1054 N. Pinkston Street and Ahmad Burwell, 20 of 637 Marshall Street, both in Henderson, North Carolina, were arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and felonious larceny of a vehicle.
Money that was allegedly taken from the bank was recovered from the suspects.
The FBI Robbery Task Force was contacted, and the investigation is continuing.
