On September 14, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. Glenn Greene was arrested after surrendering to officers at the Henderson Police Department. The warrant charging Greene with first degree murder was served, and he is being held without bond pending a September 28, 2009 court appearance.

Glenn Greene, who surrendered earlier today to the Henderson Police Department on a charge of first degree murder
On September 13, 2009 at approximately 4:29 p.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 500 block of Water Street in reference to someone shot.
Upon arrival, responding officers located the victim, Carl Hart, 29, of 647 Vance Street in Henderson, North Carolina.
EMS personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to the Maria Parham Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is continuing into this incident by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. After an investigation into this incident, warrants charging first degree murder have been obtained on Glenn Greene for the murder of Carl Hart. Greene is described as a black male, 27, standing 5’3” and 135 pounds.
