Burglary and Assault of Elderly Female

On October 29, 2009 officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to a residence on Oakdale Circle in Henderson in reference to a burglary that occurred sometime during the night.

Upon arrival officers found that a 91 year-old female had been assaulted by the suspect.

The assailant entered the residence during the night, assaulted the female, and took several items from the residence.

The Criminal Investigations Section is continuing the investigation. Breaking and Entering & Larceny

On October 09, 2009 about 8:30 a.m. the Vance County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cooks Chapel Methodist Church at 200 Center Street in reference to a breaking and entering and larceny. Suspects took a copy machine, sound system, microphones and other items from the church. Entry was gained by taking an air conditioner out of the window.
