Homicide
On January 9, 2009 about 1:30 a.m. Henderson police responded to 687 Adams Street in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found Montrel Lamar Alston shot and lying inside the residence. A second subject, Robert Earl Smith, was also found outside of the residence. Robert Earl Smith had also been shot.

Attempted Armed Robbery
On November 11, 2009 about 12:30 a.m. a black female was sitting at the stop light at the intersection of North Beckford and North Chestnut Streets. While sitting at the light, a black male about 20 years old, 5’ medium build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt approached her vehicle and attempted to rob her at gunpoint. When the black female saw the handgun, she drove off and called police.
