Repeat felon gets 55 months for handgun possession


On November 28, 2008 officers of the Henderson Police Department arrested Ronald Keith Hargrove, 34, on outstanding warrants.

At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a .45 caliber handgun.

Members of the Henderson Police Department, in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) indicted Hargrove on federal firearms violations including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On December 11, 2009 Hargrove plead guilty in federal court and received an active sentence of 55 months in federal prison.

With this type of close cooperation and investigations with the ATF and other federal agencies, the Henderson Police Department will continue to investigate and indict as many violent offenders as possible on federal charges.
