Farmer’s market could come to north Henderson
During the Monday meeting of the Vance County Board of Commissioners, County Manager Jerry Ayscue informed members that an application in the amount of $750,000 was submitted on September 4, 2009 to the Tobacco Trust Fund to finance a farmer’s market facility in Vance County. During the County Manager’s Report portion of Monday’s Vance County Board of Commissioners meeting, County Manager Jerry Ayscue revealed in an inventory of grants report that Vance has $6.43 million in active grants.

City committee to discuss lease to new charter school
This meeting was canceled as of Monday, December 7, 2009 at approximately 9:24 a.m. The City of Henderson’s Land Planning & Development Committee will meet on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall located at 134 Rose Avenue in Henderson. The committee is meeting to discuss the lease of city property at Montgomery and Williams Streets for the Henderson Collegiate Charter School.
