Chief K.L. Sidwell reports that members of the Henderson Police Department Narcotics Unit conducted investigations that led to the federal sentencing of the following:
On March 18, 2009 an investigation was initiated in which a traffic stop was performed by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit. During the stop Stephon Bullock was found to be in possession of two pounds of marijuana and a trafficking amount of cocaine. The incident occurred at the Snacker’s Car Wash located on Dabney Drive. Bullock was processed and placed in the Vance County Jail under a $1 million bond. The case was submitted to the United States Attorney’s Office and was adopted. Stephon Bullock was sentenced to 221 months (18 years, 4 months) in federal court and placed in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons. The sentencing occurred March 2, 2010 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
On December 30, 2007 members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant at the address of 238 Keene Street in Henderson, North Carolina. During the search of the residence, 524.5 grams (over half a kilogram or approximately 1.16 lbs.) of crack cocaine was located. Arrested during the investigation were Jonathan Jordan and Xavier Judd. The case was submitted to the United States Attorney’s Office and was adopted. On February 5, 2010 Xavier Judd was sentenced to 105 months (8 years, 9 months) in federal court and placed in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons. Jonathan Jordan was sentenced to 295 months (24 years, 5 months) in federal court and placed in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons. The sentencing for Jordan occurred on March 2, 2010 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
On November 30, 2007 members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant at the address of 264 Kittrell Street in Henderson, North Carolina. During the search of the residence, 127 grams of cocaine, 709 grams of marijuana, 50 grams of heroin, 13 ecstasy pills, 2 firearms and United States currency was located. Arrested during the investigation was Cory Randall Bullock. The case was submitted to the United States Attorney’s Office and was adopted. Cory Randall Bullock was sentenced to 220 months (18 years 4 months) in federal court and placed in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons. The sentencing also occurred in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Federal prosecution is a powerful tool to deter individuals from selling and trafficking in narcotics. The Henderson Police Department will continue to work closely with federal agencies, including the United States Attorney’s Office, to ensure the safety of the citizens of Henderson.
