Editor’s Note: This is an update to an article that originally ran on September 28, 2009.
On March 30, 2010 Phillip Wayne Coley was apprehended in Sharpsburg, North Carolina on six outstanding warrants for obtaining property by false pretenses in relation to a telephone scam asking the elderly for money to assist a stranded family member.
Coley received a $70,000 secured bond and remains in the Nash County Jail pending an initial court appearance in Vance County on April 5, 2010.
Coley was listed as one of Henderson’s Most Wanted on the Henderson Police Department website.
Dawn Moore is still wanted on related charges and is believed to be outside the state.
