The Corbitt Preservation Association celebrated the 100th anniversary of Corbitt Trucks with a show of the Henderson-manufactured vehicles on Saturday, May 1, 2010 in downtown Henderson.
Corbitt vehicles lined both sides of Breckenridge Street from the eastern edge of the Henderson Police Department to Chestnut Street.
The 30-plus vehicles featured at the show ranged from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. Also featured were several 1950’s tractors.
A celebrated acquisition of the association is the only firetruck ever manufactured by Corbitt. It was built for the Hospital for the Insane in Washington, D.C.
There was also a display of Corbitt history inside of McGregor Hall which had pictures, souvenirs, and Corbitt memorabilia.
