On May 14, 2010 at 11:21 p.m., members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to 923 Nicholas Street in reference to an assault that had occurred.
Upon arrival, officers found a 37 year-old male who had sustained injuries from the alleged incident.
The victim stated that the suspect approached him while he was exiting the store and demanded money from him. The victim refused to give the suspect any money, and the suspect began assaulting the victim. The victim was assaulted to the point that he lost consciousness. When the victim regained consciousness, the suspect had fled the scene. The victim then realized that he had been robbed of the items that he had purchased from the store.
Upon further investigation by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division, Jason Gill of 1012 Standish Street in Henderson, North Carolina was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
