HPD makes arrest for vehicle B&E


On August 13, 2010 around 9:34 p.m. a vice/narcotics Officer with the Henderson Police Department was in the area of the 200 block of S. Williams Street in Henderson, North Carolina when he heard a car alarm coming from a vehicle in a church parking lot.

The officer checked the area and located a vehicle that had been subjected to a breaking and entering in the parking lot.

The officer patrolled the area and located the suspect. Upon detaining the suspect, items from the breaking and entering were located.

The suspect, Kelcey Thorpe, of 844 Park Ave Henderson, North Carolina was charged with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and possession of stolen goods. He was given a $10,000 secured bond pending a court hearing on September 20, 2010.
