On January 18, 2011 around 11:15 a.m. officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to 917 Water Street in Henderson, North Carolina in reference to a breaking and entering of an occupied residence in progress.
Officers responded to the scene and located the suspect in the area. The suspect, Joseph Crudup, 16, of Henderson, North Carolina was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering.

Crudup received a $20,000 secured bond and remains in the Vance County Jail pending a court hearing on February 7, 2011.
