On Sunday, February 6, 2011, an officer of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a call from Walmart.
Loss prevention officers had one male subject, Carroll Davis, 20, of 35 Dee Avenue in Henderson detained. Lost prevention officers indicated they had observed Davis remove the security device from two Wii remote controls and conceal them on his person.

Davis was charged with N.C.G.S. 14-72.11 felonious larceny from a merchant. Davis was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $5,000 secured bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on March 1, 2011.
