On Monday, February 7, 2011, officers with the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division responded to 618 McBorne Street to conduct a follow-up investigation.
While on scene, officers discovered 19.2 grams of marijuana, 3.2 grams of crack cocaine and a stolen firearm. The firearm in this matter had been reported stolen to the Henderson Police Department on November 3, 2010.
In the matter of the stolen firearm, a Louisburg resident reported that his vehicle had been broken into while parked at Bojangles, 1425 E. Andrews Avenue in Henderson. The front passenger side window of the vehicle was broken and the handgun was removed along with a Garmin GPS unit, a Cobra radar detector, and a Sirius satellite radio.
Donte Lamont Macon, 20, 640 Ransom Street in Henderson was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance, and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.

Macon was confined to the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $20,000 secured bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Vance County District Court on February 21, 2011.
Sharica Denise Evans, 22, of 618 McBorne Street in Henderson was charged with one count of maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance. Evans was released from custody after posting a $3,500 bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Vance County District Court on February 21, 2011 as well.
