We’d like to remind all tonight of another city budget work session, starting 6pm.
Some comments were made yesterday in regards to a good GOP candidate after Donald Trump has announced he will not run for President. Wikipedia has a listing of formally declared candidates of John Davis, Newt Gingrich, Gary Johnson, Fred Karger, Andy Martin, Jimmy McMillan, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty and Jonathon Sharkey. Others are considering, Mitt Romney, for instance, is as an unofficial candidate (by not officially announcing, yet holding fundraisers anyway).
Here’s Tuesday’s open line!
you forgot Rick Santorum.
also considering and has an exploratory committee, is Herman Cain.
You never can tell who might show up.
Phil: Guess you are posting at night, but on your “Latest News” your date shows Tuesday, May 16th. I think it is May17th for Tuesday.
Julian, Yes I write the open lines in the evening, and I did for a while schedule them to post at 12:01 in the morning. But my concern was that it was posting too late and people wouldn’t see them until the morning. I am now posting them at 11pm the previous night to give those still up the chance to get the conversations going. In this case, the date shows the date the article was published, not the date that the open line is intended for.
While I am glad that Mr. Trump is not running for the top job, I do wish that some in Washington would invite him on board in an advisory capacity of some sort. He does know how to make money and a thing or two about marketing. Plus he did raise some valid questions sans the birth certificate issue. Reminds me of Ross Perot in the 1990’s. Looking back, he should not have gone for the oval office but instead should have been allowed to offer his two cents on various economic issues. He had a head for business.
I agree with you, Mr Mojo
I remember Perot’s famous quote about the NA Trade Agreement…
he promised “the giant sucking sound” of jobs heading south of the border.
wonder what he thinks about “the giant sucking sound” of jobs going to China and Asia?
