The Vance County Board of Education has unanimously approved Crystal Richardson as the new principal of New Hope Elementary School. The board took its action during a special meeting held on Wednesday, August 31. Two members of the board, Ronald Kinsley and Dorothy Williams, were not present at the meeting. The Holiday Band played live at the final 2011 “Meet Me in the Street” September 1, 2011, Thursday afternoon. This was their first time playing this event. Thank you for joining us on Embassy Square downtown! The events were brought to Henderson by presenting sponsor Harris Incorporated of Henderson and the Budweiser True Music Concert Series.
