We’d like to remind everyone again this weekend of a downtown event, the Corbitt Preservation Association will host it’s 10th annual show and reunion on Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Corbitt Company built buggies in 1899, then automobiles, and after 1907 built tractors, buses and even trucks used by the military during World War II. Corbitt Company closed its doors in 1952. But area preservationists are still keeping the locally made vehicles on the road. Come by Saturday and browse the collection.
Welcome to the Thursday Open Lines!
Is Don Julio’s still open down town?
Don Lorenzos. I do believe they are closed. I tried to eat there last Friday I think it was for lunch and they had a closed sign up, the place looked empty, decorations taken down etc. I hate that, it was my favorite mexican place in town. I’ve been told the Henderson Mexican Restaurant is the best place in town but haven’t tried it yet. Yesterday I went to Mazatlan’s, I would have tried the other place but I had a late lunch and wasn’t sure of their hours, when I knew Mazatlans would be open.
I apologize for getting the name wrong. Eaten there quite a few times. Feel bad about that but not as bad as I do about them closing. What a shame indeed. The Henderson Mexican Restaurant is getting rave reviews for their food. Like you, I have not tried it yet. Still go to Mazatlan though.
Where is the Henderson Mexican Restaurant?
