Vance County Schools – Seniors Accepted to Colleges and Universities


Seniors at Southern and Northern Vance high schools are being accepted at colleges and universities across the state to further their education after they graduate in June. Several of the students qualify for scholarships to attend certain schools.

 

Seniors at Southern Vance High School and the schools they have been accepted to attend this fall include: Sikera Alston, Johnson and Wales University; Whitney Brown, Winston-Salem State University; Jolisa Bullock, Catawba College; Michael Burns, Barton College; Tonique Cheek, Chowan University with a $21,200 scholarship, Johnson and Wales University with a $26,000 scholarship and Elizabeth City State University; Carissa Crews, Campbell University with a $28,000 scholarship, and Fayetteville State University; Amber Edwards, Fayetteville State University with a $21,200 scholarship; Gwyneshia Green, The Art Institute in Durham with a $40,000 scholarship, Alamance Community College, Salem College, Wake Technical Community College and Wilkes Community College; Zachary Layne, Wingate University with a $60,000 scholarship, Methodist University and Pfeiffer University; Ian Metcalf, Methodist College with a $53,000 scholarship; Montreat College with a $40,000 scholarship, Barton College with a $40,000 scholarship, and Lees McRae College; Justin Null, Methodist University with a $20,000 scholarship; Amy Smith, East Carolina University; Destiney Smith, Barton College with a $20,000 scholarship, and East Carolina University; and Marissa Williams, Vance-Granville Community College.

At Northern Vance High School seniors have been accepted to the following colleges and universities for the fall: Kemari Hanks, UNC-Greensboro; Ashley Hendricks, Barton College; D.J. Johnson, Campbell University and East Carolina University; Jahmila Peterson, N.C. Central University and East Carolina University; Henry Raynor, Barton College and Mount Olive College; and Blake Strickland, UNC-Charlotte.
