VGCC Small Business Seminar Discusses Loan Approval

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will present a free seminar, entitled “Getting Money for your Small Business,” on Thursday, March 29. The seminar will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

This seminar, led by Carolyn Perry of the Rural Economic Development Center in Raleigh, will discuss how individuals can improve and increase their chances of business loan approvals. Participants will learn about the “Five C’s” of lending — credit, collateral, capacity, cash flow and character — and how and why these factors influence loan decisions.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 738-3275 or 738-3240.
