Only those registered as democratic are not allowed to attend the local democratic convention? Is this because you are taking a vote of what democrats are thinking? If there is no vote what is the objection to non-democrats attending the convention?
The delegates from the Precincts are the official delegates who do get to vote on the issues before the County Convention. All Democratic elected officials plus all the delegates get to vote on the nominations for Board of Election. All participants get to hear from all the candidates. All Democrats get to vote on the 2nd Vice Chair. There are votes taken. Delegates to District and State Conventions are voted for. The non-democrat who wants to come can listen to the speeches by candidates.
Mr. Brand,
Thanks for the information.
When and where were the Precint meetings ?
Who would want to come to this anyway?
