Students at Vance-Granville Community College recently had a chance to explore job opportunities, distribute their resumes and network with potential employers without leaving the college’s Main Campus. On March 28, VGCC’s 34th annual Career Day was held in the college’s Civic Center. For the first time, the event was staged in partnership with Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, Inc.’s Training Assistance Partnership Program.
Career Day is organized each spring by the VGCC Career Services department to give area businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies an opportunity to tell Vance-Granville graduates and potential graduates about what they do and about the type of workers they hire. This year, approximately 50 employers were on hand to recruit potential employees.
